In this range of paints you will find over 30 different shades that can be used to paint modern ship models true to the original. In addition to the paints, base paints/primers, thinners and a thickening agent (to make paint that is too thin can be used again) are also available.

Supplied in plastic bottles with a resealable screw cap, each containing 22 ml.

Billing Boats acrylic paints are easy to apply with brushes and airbrushes. They are non-toxic and contain no strong-smelling solvents, are quick-drying, have good coverage and are durable.
In order to obtain an evenly covering paint application, it is recommended to first apply a primer: for plastic KR-320100 or KR-321100 and for wood KR-80110, KR-80120 or KR-44097.

Thin the paints preferably with Billing Boats Acrylic Thinner KR-BCA040 or if this is not available with water until a milk-like consistency is achieved. Mixed paint should flow nicely and evenly with no drips or lumps.
Do not dilute Billing Boats acrylic colors with substances or thinners from other manufacturers, as such mixtures cannot be stored. If you use colors from an old, already used paint pot, you should filter the color as a precaution. In order to be able to spray long and thin lines with airbrush guns without any problems, you should definitely use the Billing Boats thinner KR-BCA040. Only then is it possible to spray with a low spray pressure and a small amount of air. Spraying with low air pressure ensures that the paint does not dry on the way to the model.

The processing of the paint with the brush does not require any special measures. Best results are achieved when the paint is applied in several thin coats. Brushes, airbrush guns and other tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use. Dried paint residues cannot be dissolved with the Billing Boats thinner. You should use special cleaners such as KR-303006 for this.

Billing Boats

Billing Boats is a traditional model building company from Denmark with beautiful types of ships from the North Sea, but also with famous classics such as the Calypso or African Queen. The invention of the half-fuselage construction comes from Mr. Billing personally, in which two fuselage halves are first built flat on the construction board and then assembled. The 600 series from Billing Boats is made in this construction, which is very suitable for beginners. Unfortunately, Billing Boats has had a very difficult phase in the last three years, from which the company is steadily working its way out again with the great commitment of the Billing family. However, longer delivery times or unexpected production bottlenecks must be expected at times, for which the family asks for your understanding and patience. Billing Boats also consistently uses laser technology to cut out the wooden parts and supplies beautiful fittings made of plastic and brass. The kits are always designed for quality at an affordable price.
